Landscape mode on the iphone?

Is there an app in the app store (or cydia) that lets you use landscape mode in things other than in safari (like notes and whatnot)

OS 3.0 did that way back in June.

yes. It's called upgrading to 3.0. If you don't want to upgrade then your out of luck.
