Why don't Windows Users like Apple Computers?

Postby seagate098 » Sun Nov 01, 2009 3:22 am

*Macs look 400% nice than any windows OS
*Macs are 99% immune to any viruses and spyware etc.
*Macs can have the same specifications as any other computer
*Macs will run pretty much any decent program.

*****You can install windows OS on to MAC

I've had a mac for 5 years I never needed to do anything with it. I've upgraded it to Nvidia GeForce 9800 and I run the latest games on maximum quality.

I have every program that any one would dream to use such as Adobe Photoshop CS3, Aftereffect, iTunes, Garageband.

I also have windows 7 installed on my Mac which it broke down couple of times due to viruses but my Mac is always safe and I can just resintall/fix the windows OS via mac without losing any data.

And most of all MAC looks STUNNING inside and outside. The standard of documents/media produced on a mac is better than anything you can make in crappy Microsoft office.

SO WHY DO YOU WINDOWS GUYS HATE IT?

(never used one before or something?)

no right click. plus as a developer, 90% of the world uses a PC so I would rather spend my time making sure my stuff works on what the majority uses.

i don't hate a mac but there is in no way enough games made that are mac compatible. so no can do the mac thing.

avid gaming fans will never become apple people until there is an abundance of 1st rate games for it. and then the online servers would have to modified too.

I'm 100% windows based...I'm a tech so I come across software and hardware all day long which I can use on my PC. Mac's are a little harder to work on (take apart and replace stuff)
I worked on a IMAC once...took 30 minutes to get the case off.
PC takes less then 2minutes.
Macs are pricey but anytime (someone with money) asks what kind of computer they should get.. 9times outta 10 I tell them a mac.

Simple. I build my own systems. It means I save money and get a customized, fast machine. The last time I did a build I priced out a comparable Mac Pro, and it was literally 3 times more expensive. I enjoy building and tinkering with computers, and the cost makes that an issue when it comes to Macs. I do have a Mac Mini and I did upgrade the HD and RAM, but it was a highly unpleasant experience that I hope never to have to suffer again.

I don't hate Macs, they are just a bit expensive. IBM had the right idea when they came up with the PC, make it with mostly generic parts, and make it fairly easy to copy. Apple, on the other hand, made their computer with mostly custom parts, and sued anybody who tried to copy it out of existence. That's why there are a heck of a lot more Windows computers in the world than Macs.

And, for the record, Macs are not immune to viruses and spyware, it's just that there isn't enough of them in use to spark the interest of the people who write those things.

We don't hate them. We get disgusted with mac snobs that act like they're cooler than windows users, and, quite frankly, they're fun to make fun of because mac users really don't know much about computers. They can parrot the phrases they hear, like "more secure" but it's phrases like "make you want to lick it" (used to describe the new interface--and yes, that really happened--at some Apple event, spoken by some high ranking Apple exec; I don't know if it was Jobs or someone else, I read it and almost threw up and never bothered to remember who it was) that really keep me from taking it seriously. I work in a media-based industry, so we have a LOT of mac users. But the policy is if you want a mac you need to have a job that includes working with software that won't run on a PC. Mac service is too expensive, and Office vacuums on a mac. If you only know Office on a mac, you won't have a clue what I'm talking about, but Office on a mac was designed to be as cutesy as all the other programs with no serious calculation intention. Mac runs FinalCut and stuff like that, like a champ; Windows couldn't handle it, but that may be changing with Win7, but FinalCut will never, ever be written for Windows. But Photoshop runs fine on Windows, and Audacity and other music editing software runs fine on Windows. Video stuff has to be done with Mac right now. And mac users really don't want to know anything about computers. They can't be bothered to try to listen when you try to explain why something is the way it is, they just want you to make it the way they want it to be. I use a mac. I use Linux. I use Windows Vista, XP, 2000, and 98. Eventually I'll have 7 but missed the boat on all the great deals. Right now none of our macs can print but all our pc's can. So "macs just work?" Yeah, right.
