for computers and is there one free for mac os? thanks! i have several home movies in vhs and others in 8hi something movies when my kids where little unfortunately no longer have a camera to view the hi 8 videos but cannot afford 7 each 2 be put in a dvd i need to fix them (edit them too)

maybe I understand your problem, you can try a conversion and burner tool---Aimersoft DVD creater for Mac, you can convert your home movies to DVD and burn them for portable and home DVD players on Mac OS X. The tool has also powerful editting function.
