iweb - domain homepage not searchable and just forwarding

Postby davedavedave » Mon Feb 22, 2010 11:26 am

Hi there

Firstly let me apologise for still living in the dark ages - I am on iweb 1.1.2

I just built my new website with iweb about 10 days ago to upload to my own personal url. I have uploaded an image below showing the site. My first page is a welcome page before About me and then the rest of the site. The issue I am having at this time is that if you enter into your browser my url (http://www.nadaav.com) your browser is forwarded to the welcome page. IE the welcome page does not site at http://www.nadaav.com. the page at http://www.nadaav.com doesn't actually exist, or is blank. I think this may be why search engines cannot find the page (this is what made me concerned in the first instance: http://www.urltrends.com/viewtrend.php? ... nadaav.com).

In the structure in iweb I cannot work out how to make a page actually sit at the primary url. Perhaps because it is designed to work with mac.com.

can anyone advise me please?

Incidentally I also am having trouble with the blog templates and especially with the RSS subscribe button - can anyone point me to conversations about this as I am sure it must have been discussed already.

Thanks loads

ddd
